Photography has been a growing passion of mine since I was young. Expressing myself through photography has always drawn and challenged me. As meaningful as words have been for me in writing, especially in poetry, photography is its own world in that it has enabled me to express myself in ways that words cannot. And even though I'm not sure I think a photograph can ever "fully" express what the artist feels about his/her subject matter, I can appreciate this horizon of which Ansel Adams speaks as I also wrestle with the realities of beauty and pain in all that surrounds us.... a reflection yearning with and for hope even in the face of hopelessness.
